NINGBO COASTAL NEW TOWN, Ningbo, China
Working with the local design institute, the land plan for this site forms the third corner of a regional market area with the cities of Hangzhou and Shanghai. Through cooperation between local and national government, the Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Zone was created to incentivize the development of the free trade port and coastal new town master plan. The planning philosophy is to blend market demand and “place” factors to create a platform for trade, maritime uses, environment and a unique place to live, work and play.
